Sasha Senderovich is the author of How the Soviet Jew Was Made, which was named a finalist for the 2023 National Jewish Book Award. Together with Harriet Murav, he is the translator of Dovid Bergelson's Judgment and of In the Shadow of the Holocaust: Short Fiction by Jewish Writers from the Soviet Union, which is currently in progress and supported by a grant from the National Foundation for the Humanities. He teaches at the University of Washington in Seattle.
